Minister Elenovski - General Marnhac

The security situation in the region is stable and no major incidents are expected in the future. This is the joint assessment of Macedonian Defense Minister Lazar Elenovski and KFOR Commander General Xavier Bout de Marnhac, following their meeting in Skopje yesterday.

General Marnhac stressed that the NATO forces in Kosovo would continue to ensure stability and security for all citizens of Kosovo, regardless of their religious and ethnic background. He informed Elenovski that the two processes currently underway in Kosovo – the formation of a new government and the resolving of Kosovo’s status – are moving in the right direction.
