I am concentrating on implementing the government program and fulfilling Macedonia's chief objectives: receiving an invitation for full membership in NATO and starting negotiations for membership in EU. I am not planning any early elections, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said yesterday, the media report.
He stressed that he had not discussed the possibility of organizing early parliamentary elections with any parliamentarian from his or any other party, despite the increasing speculation that VMRO-DPMNE and the ruling coalition are preparing for early elections, which would be held after the NATO Summit in Bucharest.
Prime Minister Gruevski also refuted the assertions that he is preparing a reshuffle of the Government. Two ministers and one deputy minister have resigned so far.
