Yesterday’s talks between Macedonian and Greek representatives in Ohrid did not result in any concrete resolution for name dispute. UN mediator Matthew Nimetz stressed that useful ideas were presented at this meeting, but that there were no concrete resolutions. Greek representative Vassilakis said that this round of talks was most open so far, noting that essential differences between two countries remain. Macedonian representative Dimitrov stressed that Macedonia remains dedicated to these talks. He stressed that Declaration on friendship and good neighborly relations, which was proposed by Milososki, was aimed at showing Greece that Macedonia has no territorial claims against Greece, as Athens asserts.

The Greek-Macedonian talks over the name issue resume in Ohrid on Monday. Two days ago the Macedonian state leadership solidified its position that this is a bilateral issue and that the double formula is the only solution. Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki said in his Saturday interview for Dnevnik that Macedonia would offer a few initiatives.
