Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski, who is on a three-day official visit to Qatar, met with Qatar Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani yesterday. The economic relations between the two countries were the chief issues discussed at the talks between President Crvenkovski and Emir al-Thani. Crvenkovski presented Macedonia’s capacities, as well as the Macedonian Government’s measures for drawing foreign direct investments. He also presented the country’s tax policy, assessing it as most favorable in the region.
The Macedonian president stressed that Macedonia concluded free trade agreements with a number of countries. He indicated that Macedonia has possibilities for investment in agriculture and cattle breeding, as well as potentials in the building sphere.
