"I am pleased that relations of confidence, that our two countries develop due to their historical and geographic proximity, enable us also in the future to enhance our cooperation, especially in the field of home security", says State Minister and Interior Minister of France Nicolas Sarkozy, in his Letter to Macedonian Foreign Minister Iinka Mitreva.

Sarkozy underlines the quality of the talks he had with Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs at the French Interior Ministry during recent visit of Minister Mitreva to Paris the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement .

"You presented the efforts of your country in coming closer to the European Union, as well as the desire for full-fledged membership in the Francophony", ads further French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy to Minister Mitreva.

With regard to request by Minister Mitreva for visa regime facilitation, Minister Sarkozy writes further in his Letter: "Concerning the visa regime facilitation, that you strive so much for, that issue in the near future will be subject to talks at level of experts, in Brussels".

At the end of the Letter, Minister Sarkozy says that he was pleased to accept to pay visit to the Republic of Macedonia in the near future.
