After having heard the positions of the Greek authorities to his latest, April proposal for resolution of the name issue, Matthew Nimetz, the UN mediator in the dispute, arrived in Skopje Tuesday with the same goal.
“I came to hear the stands to my latest ideas for a possible solution to the name issue,” Nimetz said on his arrival, adding he expected a good meeting in Macedonia.
Mr. Nimetz started the working part of his visit Tuesday with a meeting with Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki on Wednesday.
