Macedonia has made considerable progress on its way to becoming a stable and democratic multiethnic country, reads the joint statements of US Ambassador Gillian Milovanovic, EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere, OSCE Head of Mission Carlos Pais and NATO Brigadier General John Durance on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Framework Agreement. They expect the consolidation of the civic and democratic principles set out in the Agreement to continue.

All the laws having emerged as responsibilities from the Agreement have been adopted in the Parliament and an excellent start has been made in the implementation of the vital processes, starting from the proportionate representation and the decentralization to the use of flags and symbols, the joint statement says inter alia.

These senior officials says that today when the country faces the challenges of the future, with intensive dialogue the citizens should help continue the full implementation of the Framework Agreement and add that they will stay partners and help the strengthening of the country's democratic and multiethnic foundations.
