BDI-PPD protest

A few thousand members and supporters of the BDI-PPD coalition held an hour-long protest in front of the Macedonian Assembly at the time when mandatary Nikola Gruevski addressed the parliamentarians. The citizens protested because BDI and PPD were not invited to join the new Government. Senior BDI officials led by party leader Ali Ahmeti addressed the citizens, with a message that the new Government cannot function if it does not respect the votes of the Albanians.

The protesters also held a few roadblocks throughout Skopje. The Assembly building was under strengthened police security. The media did not report of any incidents.
