With 71 votes for, 12 abstentions, and no votes against, the Macedonian Assembly ratified the Law for the Police. The parliamentary group of the BDI-PPD coalition did not attend the voting. Xhevat Ademi from BDI said that this law is not an expression of broad political consensus because the Badinter majority was not observed. Assembly Chairman Ljubisa Georgievski closed the month-long debate on this law on Friday.
