The Senate of the US state Michigan accepted Resolution 59, which was raised by Senator Laura M. Toy. This resolution recognizes a separate Macedonian national identity and the existence of a separate Macedonian language and an autocephalous Macedonian Orthodox Church, the state agency MIA reports.
