BDI SOFTENS POSITION ON USE OF ALBANIAN LANGUAGE

BDI will not demand that the Albanian language be used in international communication. BDI's Musa Xhaferi said that they are withdrawing this demand because, according to the Constitution, all international communication has to be led in Macedonian. BDI, most probably, will also withdraw its demand for the Albanian language to be used on the whole territory of the country, in the army, and in the police. This party softened its positions on the language, with the explanation that it does not want to block the dialogue with VMRO-DPMNE.

At tomorrow's meeting with the VMRO-DPMNE working group, BDI will present its request for the Albanian language to be used at all levels as second official language in Macedonia.
