GRUEVSKI: I DON'T ACCEPT ULTIMATUMS

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski rejected Sunday BDI leader Ali Ahmeti's ultimatum of a day earlier that the party would return to Parliament provided that a law on NLA fighters anddisabled members was passed.

Asked by a reporter what he thought of that, Prime Minister Gruevski briefly replied: "It seems it will take a while before they return."

Following these statements, the political dialogue between the governing VMRO-DPMNE and BDI, pushed for by the international community, stays uncertain. Ahmeti's statements angered the Prime Minister, who indirectly said Sunday he no longer intended to meet Ahmeti. Nevertheless, he left the door ajar for a continuation of the political dialogue with BDI. "If necessary, our working groups will meet."
