About fifteen ladies from the aristocratic London society, London Season, headed by Princess Katarina Karadjordjevic paid a visit to Ohrid and after going sightseeing they stated that Ohrid was one of the most beautiful places in the world and that the city could become a tourism challenge to the British aristocracy.

At their meeting with Ohrid Mayor Aleksandar Petrevski, they talked about Ohrid's promotion to the English aristocracy as a possible tourist destination. In addition, they expressed interest in making investments in hotels on Mt. Galicica and by the shore of Lake Ohrid and said they were willing to make donations for supplying equipment for the fire-fighting unit and a few health institutions.

The ladies, whose visit was organized by the tourism-promoting website Exploring Macedonia, urged Mayor Petrevski to appeal for starting regular Ohrid-London flights as soon as possible.
