ALL SENIOR PDSH OFFICIALS AT MOI RESIGN

Vasfi Doko, deputy director of the Public Security Bureau, Remzi Salihu, deputy director of the Security and Counter-Intelligence Office, and Nafi Doko, chief of the Department for Civilian Affairs at the Ministry of Interior (MOI), all of them from PDSH (Democratic Party of Albanians), governing VMRO-DPMNE’s coalition partner, resigned today in sign of support for Deputy Interior Minister Refet Elmazi, who tendered his resignation a day earlier. The reason why all four resigned is said to be the failure of the MOI’s recent action in Tanusevci, which, in their view, blotted PDSH’s great achievements. PDSH officials said they would walk out of the governing coalition if BDI leader Ali Ahmeti’s earlier statement that VMRO-DPMNE and BDI had bridged their major differences was true.
