Six years after the signing of the Framework Agreement, everyone is still interpreting this agreement differently, depending on the political position that they back.
The fact that the issues of whether the use of the Albanian language should be regulated with a law and whether or not this language is an official language in the country are still discussed in the country indicates that the Framework Agreement has not been implemented fully and that it is only being used to show off before foreigners, BDI Deputy Chairman Rafiz Aliti asserts.
Ruling party VMRO-DPMNE does not agree with this. VMRO-DPMNE parliamentarian Vlatko Gjorcev explained that only a small segment of this agreement remains to be implemented, that is, the part concerning proportionate representation of the Albanians.
