Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on Sunday evening. Crvenkovski and Ban Ki-moon discussed the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece, the status of Kosovo, and the issues that will be discussed at the 62nd session of the UN General Assembly, which will start today, A1 reports.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon expressed hope at the meeting with Crvenkovski that the political tension would abate following the parliamentary elections in Greece and that more auspicious circumstances would be created for continuation of the talks with Athens, the President's Office informed.
