EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn said at the meeting with Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Gabriela Koneska-Trajkovska that there is progress in Macedonia, but that he is disappointed with the non-achievement of the political criteria, especially the politicians' inability to reach a political compromise on the important issues in the country. Koneska-Trajkovska, who went to Brussels to attend the regular consultations prior to the closing of the November report on Macedonia's progress, was asked about the manner in which the remaining members of the Judicial Council were elected and the results and transparency of the work of the parliamentary Inquiry Committee. She responded that the sessions of the Inquiry Committee are broadcast on MRTV.

Before the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Koneska-Trajkovska, EU Commissioner Olli Rehn expressed regret over the tragic death of Tose Proeski.
