Macedonia will complete the priorities and all other obligations, just like it completed a huge part of the tasks so far, with the aim of receiving an invitation for membership in NATO at the Summit in Bucharest in April next year, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said on Saturday. Gruevski stressed a possible veto by Greece as the only serious factor that could obstruct Macedonia's accession to NATO.
"I do not believe that they will put a veto. If Greece succeeds in its intents, they will probably not invite us. But they will not tell us that they are not extending us an invitation because of Greece. They will say that the reason for this is that the reforms were not implemented or that we are still not ready," the Macedonian prime minister said.
