Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski and Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva will discuss Kosovo's future status and Macedonia's position on this issue with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice today. They are also expected to discuss UN mediator Mathew Nimetz's latest proposal for the resolving of the name dispute, which Greece rejected vigorously.
Buckovski will also meet US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld in the Pentagon, while on 27 October he is expected to meet with US President George Bush. The Macedonian senior delegation will also meet with the directors of the IMF and the World Bank, as well as the expatriate organizations.
