There are no changes with regards to Macedonia’s position on the name issue. This position was confirmed at the meeting of the state leadership this weekend and it will be conveyed to U.N. mediator Mathew Nimetz during his visit to Skopje, the media report.

Nimetz is coming to Skopje to hear the Macedonian state leadership’s positions on his draft framework for continuation of the talks, which was presented at the last meeting in New York in November. The Macedonian state leadership immediately rejected the proposal included in this draft framework, in which Nimetz suggests that Macedonia agree to a name other than the constitutional name for international use.
