Macedonia expects its strategic partner the United States to continue to actively support the country's integration processes. "Just like the United States recognized our constitutional name in the key period in November last year, I expect that in the forthcoming period we will receive the US's support for our aspirations for membership in NATO in year 2008 and the status candidate for EU membership by the end of this year," Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski said following the meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
