Boris Tadic's reelection as president of Serbia is excellent news for the region, and it will strengthen the democratic processes, stability, and prosperity of the region. This is the Macedonian state leadership and political parties' general assessment following the election of Tadic as president of Serbia.

Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski sent a telegram to his Serbian counterpart, congratulating him on his reelection and wishing him and the friendly Serbian people success, prosperity, and well being.

"We consider your victory, the choice of the citizens of your country, victory of the European idea and a choice that leads toward further stability and prosperity of the whole region. The citizens of my country and I personally rejoice at such choice, and we strongly support you in your effort to continue on friendly Serbia's European path," President Crvenkovski stated in his telegram.
