Macedonia should participate fully in UN mediator Matthew Nimetz's process aimed at finding a resolution for the name dispute. This message was conveyed to Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the State Department informed yesterday.
State Department Spokesman Shawn McCormack stated that the same thing would be asked of Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, who will meet with Rice in Washington today. McCormack explained that no new proposals for the name had been presented at the meeting, adding that Rice and Milososki discussed Macedonia's bid for accession to NATO and the situation with Kosovo.
