UN mediator Matthew Nimetz invited Nikola Dimitrov, Macedonia's representative in the talks on the name, and Greece's representative Ambassador Adamantios Vassilakis to separate meetings in New York on Friday 29 February.

Diplomatic sources in Skopje said for Dnevnik that the Macedonian authorities do not expect Nimetz to present a new proposal at this meeting, noting, "it would be too ambitious, even for Nimetz, to come out with a new proposal at the forthcoming meeting in New York".
