The Republic of Macedonia and the United States will announce furthering of the partnership between the two countries in Washington today, but it is not certain whether this will be made official with a signed document. Dnevnik has learned from diplomatic sources that a document would be signed in which the United States will express strong support for Macedonia’s stability and security.

“This is an already announced meeting between Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, which was arranged at the NATO Summit in Bucharest. We expect the two state officials to discuss the bilateral relations between the United States and Macedonia and the possibilities for furthering these relations in a number of spheres. A document on furthering of the bilateral relations will also be signed,” Macedonian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vasko Andonovski explained.
