Unknown masked and armed individuals set on fire the Goldengate Discotheque in Gostivar at about 03:00 on Sunday, the media report. This discotheque is owned by Fadil Arslani. Utrinski Vesnik comments that the intolerance between the two biggest parties in the Albanian political bloc started with a mutual confrontation on the first day of the official start of the election campaign. The owner of the discotheque maintains that PDSH supporters started the fire and kidnapped and tied the bodyguard of the discotheque. Material damage of approximately 700,000 euros was caused in this incident.

Four BDI election headquarters in Tetovo, Mala Recica, Kamenjane, and the village of Negotino were riddled with bullets this same morning. No one was injured in these incidents, only material damage was caused. The media report that the most serious incident occurred – again – at 03:00 on Sunday, in Tetovo, when shots were fired at the house of M.S. on 107th Street, where BDI’s headquarters is situated.
