President Branko Crvenkovski had a brief meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis and Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis at the forum for cooperation in Southeast Europe in Pomorje, Bulgaria, on Tuesday. Crvenkovski said in his address that Macedonia wanted very much the name issue with Greece to be resolved in a fair manner. He stressed that Macedonia accepted Nimetz's proposal before the NATO summit in Bucharest, but Greece unfortunately rejected it. Prime Minister Karamanlis said it was time to resolve the long-standing name issue, while President Crvenkovski's comment was that the Greek side used to produce such statement before, yet results were not always positive.
