The voter turnout by 13:00 o’clock is 28.18 percent, State Election Commission (DIK) Chairman Jovan Josifovski informed at a press conference. Josifovski said that the voting is conducted in a peaceful and fair atmosphere in the majority of the polling places in Macedonia, but that voting has been suspended in 20 polling places due to various incidents.

Chairman Josifovski and a few members of DIK visited the Cair Municipality, where incidents were registered this morning. He stated that, despite the incidents, which, as he stressed, took place outside the polling places, the voting in this municipality is continuing. A second group of DIK members visited the Tetovo and Zelino Municipalities in the sixth constituency, where incidents were also registered. They established that there are irregularities in certain polling stations.

DIK Chairman Jovan Josifovski appealed to the political parties and their leaders to put an end to the violence so that the voting can continue in a peaceful atmosphere.

The MOST civic association also confirmed that the voter turnout by 13:00 o’clock is approximately 30 percent.
