BDI welcomed, while PDSH criticized the State Election Commission’s (DIK) decision to cancel the voting in 193 polling places. Both parties believe that they will win the elections following the voting on 15 June, when the elections will be repeated in the first, second, and sixth constituencies. PDSH accused DIK of acting on the orders of Ali Ahmeti and of working against the interests of the Albanians.
Both parties predict that a tough battle for votes would be fought on Sunday. BDI hopes that they will secure a total of 20 parliamentary mandates. PDSH also believes that they will secure victory after the repeat of the voting, but they do not exclude the possibility of withdrawing from the elections if the Supreme Court does not consider their appeals.
