With regards to the policy proclaimed by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who accused Macedonia of being an undemocratic country and openly supported Greece in the name dispute, Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki said that the Republic of Macedonia would not assume any special measures as regards its bilateral relations with France.

“Our best policy is timely fulfillment of the regulations set by the European Commission. Only efficient and clear fulfillment of the eight benchmarks that our country received can contribute toward the European Commission adopting a decision to set a date for start of the negotiations on membership in the EU. The important thing for us is that we receive a positive assessment from the European Commission,” Milososki said.
