Boskoski-Tarculovski

The Hague Tribunal passed a not-guilty sentence in the trial against former Interior Minister Ljube Boskoski for the “Ljuboten” case. The second defendant in this case, then police General Johan Tarculovski, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment. Boskoski will leave for Skopje today. Tarculovski’s attorney announced that he would file an appeal against this ruling within 30 days.

There were mixed feelings among the members of Macedonian government delegation and Tarculovski and Boskoski’s families who attended yesterday’s passing of the sentence: they were happy for Boskoski, but shocked by the unexpectedly high sentence against Tarculovski.

Boskoski and Tarculovski spent the last three and a half years in detention in the Scheveningen prison in The Hague.
