The Government will work hard so that Macedonia can become a full-fledged member of NATO and the EU. However, it will continue to raise the Macedonian issue worldwide in order to make sure the Macedonian minority in Greece is granted rights. This is the message that Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent from the celebration of Macedonia's National Day, 2 August, at Pelince.

"If Greece decides with its blackmails and with its might that it is demonstrating to block our membership of NATO and the EU in the long run and close the doors to our aspired goal, we will work on creating a strategy for stability and democratic and economic development even in such circumstances. Reforms in all areas will continue and the fight against crime will not be selective. The European political institutions will still be notified of the breaking of human rights," Prime Minister Gruevski said in his address at Pelince.
