Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska and Public Prosecutor Ljupco Svrgovski met on Saturday to discuss the new evidence concerning the assassination attempt on former President Kiro Gligorov. Former Interior Minister Ljubomir Frckoski wrote in his column in Dnevnik last week that there is a key witness in the assassination attempt on Gligorov in year 1995.

Interior Minister Jankulovska said following the meeting with Svrgovski that the public prosecutor has the final say in this phase and that the police would follow his instructions. “All relevant institutions have been made available with the aim of checking the information that was presented in public,” she informed. The interior minister stated that they would document all information that, in the interest of the investigation, is still not available to the public in this phase.
