The World Day of Fighting AIDS is being marked under the motto "Let's Keep Promises".
Twelve new HIV positive persons have been registered in Macedonia this year, which is a record figure since the epidemic outbreak in 1987. They total 79, 50 of whom have died. As much as 70 percent of them are men.
According to medics, the statistics show that no region in Macedonia is immune to the virus considering that HIV positive persons have been registered in almost all the municipalities, rural and urban areas alike.
