Swiss bank "American Express" issued a confirmation to Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski that he does not have an account on his name in this bank. President Crvenkovski announced this at a press conference today. The official letter states that the bank does not recognize or accept the statement or account that was published in weekly "Fokus".

The president said that he would file criminal charges against Nikola Mladenov and "the unknown" perpetrator for falsification. Copies of this letter from Geneva will be presented to the Anticorruption Commission, which is investigating this case.
The Macedonian President was accused in the last two editions of "Fokus" of having bank accounts valued at $12 million in this bank in Switzerland.
