Macedonia has been included in the list of 31 top tourist destinations worth visiting in 2010 of the New York Times. The paper describes Ohrid as a city of tradition and history with one of the planet’s deepest lakes. Ohrid is poised for international claim, the paper says. In addition to the churches and monuments, New York Times recommends also visiting the Bronze Age village built on stilts.
