MITREVA RECEIVES HONORARY CONSULS TO HAMBURG AND IZMIR, AND NEW CROATIAN AND UKRAINIAN AMBASSADORS

Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva held separate meetings today with Macedonian Honorary Consul to Hamburg, Germany, Hans-Jirgen Bos and Macedonian Honorary Consul to Izmir, Turkey, Ms. Gaje Akcen.

At the meeting with Akcen, Mitreva stressed that the appointing of an honorary consul to Izmir gives additional substance to the mutual relations, especially with respect to attracting investors from Turkey to Macedonia.

At the meeting between Mitreva and Honorary Consul to Hamburg Hans-Jirgen Bos, it was concluded that this kind of representing of our country in Germany would be an impetus for advancement of the economic cooperation, promotion of Macedonia's economy, and increase of the investments, especially investments from the northern parts of Germany.

Foreign Minister Mitreva also held separate protocol meetings with the newly appointed Croatian Ambassador to Macedonia Ivan Kujundzic and the newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador Vitalij Moskalenko.

Ambassador Kujundzic stressed that Croatia would continue to work on its successful cooperation with Macedonia in the field of EU integration, while Ambassador Moskalenko stated that the accent of his work in Macedonia would be on economic cooperation and implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.
