Macedonia is going to join the Central-European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA). The accession agreement will be signed today in the Ministry of Economy.

The membership of this trade union is directly related to the process of Macedonia's integration with the European Union. As announced by the Ministry of Economy, Macedonia's accession to CEFTA may be treated as a means for regional cooperation and evidence of the political and organizational maturity of the countries for joining the EU.

The CEFTA member states, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia, initialed the agreement on Macedonia's accession to CEFTA on January 17 in Skopje.
