The average monthly net salary in Macedonia in December 2005 totaled 13,125 denars, or around 210 euros, which is a nominal rise of 2 percent and a real rise of 1.4 percent from the previous month, the State Statistical Office said in a statement on Monday.
In the last month of 2005, 15.6 percent of the employees did not receive salaries.
The largest increase in the average salary of as much as 91.4 percent was noted in the aviation industry. The Statistical Office stated this rise was not a result of the nominal salary increase, but of the unpaid net salary to some of the aviation sector employees.
