Macedonia is disturbed by the statement of Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Besnik Mustafaj for TV Alsat that Albania cannot guarantee the inviolability of the border to "the Albanian part of Macedonia if Kosovo is divided," Macedonia asked Tirana for an official explanation.

Macedonian Foreign Minister Mireva replied that Macedonia was a unitary country and so talks of Albanian or Macedonian parts were out of place.

Slobodan Casule from VMRO-NP stated that with such statements Albania denies de facto the main pillar of Europe's stability - the principle of border inviolability.

All the political parties in Macedonia reacted in the similar fashion.
