MACEDONIAN PARLIAMENT APPROVES PEACE TROOPS TO BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA, IRAQ, AND AFGHANISTAN

The Macedonian Parliament decided at yesterday's session that the Republic of Macedonia should participate in the European Union's peace operation EUFOR, Altea, in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

This decision is in accordance with Macedonia's obligations to participate in the Altea peace operation. According to this decision, one Macedonian Army unit composed of 17 individuals of various profiles and a helicopter detachment composed of two transport helicopters would be sent on a six-month mission, starting from July year 2006.
