JOHN BITOVE TO PROMOTE MACEDONIAN ECONOMIC POTENTIAL

The Canadian businessman of Macedonian origin, John Bitove, received support from the Government on Wednesday for the project, within whose framework the development of a feasibility study on Macedonia's potentials, the progress the country has made as a favorable business destination and the ongoing reforms has begun.

At his meeting with Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski, Bitove said that 20 major businessmen from the US, Canada and Australia would come to Macedonia in September to discuss Macedonia's promotion abroad and define the areas they are willing to invest in, thus fostering Macedonia's economic growth.

The Macedonian prime minister, according to the announcement, pledged concrete benefits for the Macedonian diaspora investing in Macedonia. In his view, Johnson Controls' entrance into Macedonia is an extra guarantee for other foreign investors.

The prime minister and Mr. Bitove talked about strengthening the relations between the Macedonian diaspora and Macedonia in order to encourage the diaspora through intensified activities to invest in the country and to join forces in lobbying for Macedonia's North-Atlantic integration.
