Business connections in the waste treatment sector is the new project of the International Financial Corporation supported by the Austrian Government to be implemented in Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The 3-year program has a budget of 3.3 million dollars on a regional scale, most of which has been donated by the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria. The allocation for Macedonia amounts to 550,000 dollars.
Makstil and Komuna are the first companies having joined the project. It was announced on Thursday that memorandums would be signed with another two to three companies.
The project will provide technical assistance to individuals collecting waste and to waste treatment companies and is expected to have positive economic, social and environmental effects.
