Delta of Serbia is going to invest 113 million euros in Macedonia over the next two years in building a chain of supermarkets, a buyout and distributive center and a facility for bottling water. It has already provided itself with a location in Skopje, another six or seven locations will be defined over the next few months, while the construction of the factory in Bitola has already gone underway.

After meeting Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski, Delta's management announced that their investment would create 2,300 jobs.

"Delta intends to become a leader of the region and to this end it held meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia," said Miroslav Miskovic, president of the company.

Supermarkets are planned in Bitola, Kumanovo, Ohrid, Prilep, Tetovo, Gevgelija, Strumica, Stip, Veles and Gostivar. Delta City center on 70,000 square meters and a buyout and distributive center on 10,000 square meters will also be built in Skopje.

According to Prime Minister Buckovski, Delta's presence in Macedonia will be a proof of the country's good business climate.
