All the polling stations closed at 19.00 hrs in the fifth parliamentary elections in Macedonia. The general impression is that the elections went in a fair and democratic atmosphere with minor irregularities.

Aleksandar Dastevski from the State Election Commission (DIK) told A1 Television that the elections had been successfully conducted and that the new Election Code was successfully implemented.

According to DIK's official data, the vote was discontinued in Dzepciste and Brvenica. The civic association Most confirmed the irregularities in these municipalities, adding that in the villages of Tearce, Bogovinje and Celopek there was stuffing of ballot boxes, proxy voting, etc.
