President Crvenkovski-PM Gruevski

The priority state interest for Macedonia to become a member of NATO next year resulted in a meeting between Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and President Branko Crvenkovski in the President's Office yesterday. All media assessed that this meeting did not contribute toward improvement of the cohabitation between the president and prime minister.

The prime minister said that he informed Crvenkovski about his meeting with US President George Bush. "I tried to convey all important points from the meeting with President Bush, considering that Mr. Crvenkovski's function is such that he needs to be informed about the more important details so that he would know what steps to take in the future. President Bush really wants the three countries from the Adriatic Group to receive an invitation and become members of NATO next year. I firmly believe that we will complete everything that we have to complete," Gruevski said.
