During his meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and a number of senior U.S. officials in Washington over the past couple of days, Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki was reassured that Macedonia had the U.S. support for joining NATO and that the country needed to continue its reforms and more frequently promote the results of their implementation before the EU member states.
Bert Brown, director for Southeast Europe at the National Security Council, said the U.S. and the Adriatic Group countries shared the same goal – extending invitation to Macedonia, Croatia and Albania at NATO’s next summit in Bucharest in 2008.
